AUTM
The association was founded in 1974 as the Society of University Patent Administrators with the objective of addressing a concern that inventions funded by the U.S. government were not being commercialized effectively. Through the years AUTM has grown beyond this single objective and now provides professional development and networking opportunities for technology transfer professionals at all career levels and from established and newly forming organizations worldwide.

UNICO
Unico was founded in 1994 to represent the Technology Exploitation companies of UK Universities. It provides a forum for exchange and development of best practice. Member companies transfer technology and expertise through the formation of Spin-out companies, licensing, consultancy, training, design and development projects, contract research, testing and evaluation, and problem solving.

NSERC
The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) will help make Canada a country of discoverers and innovators for the benefit of all Canadians. By making investments in people, discovery and innovation for the benefit of all Canadians.

SSHRC
The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) is the federal agency that promotes and supports university-based research and training in the humanities and social sciences.

CIHR
As the major federal agency responsible for funding health research in Canada, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) supports more than 10,000 researchers and staff each year. Together they are challenging the frontiers of science in order to increase our knowledge and understanding of health sciences and ultimately, to improve the health of Canadians.

CIPO
The Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), a Special Operating Agency (SOA) associated with Industry Canada, is responsible for the administration and processing of the greater part of intellectual property in Canada.

FPTT
Federal Partners in Technology Transfer is an established network of federal public servants committed to working together to enhance their professional capacity and to ensure the expeditious transfer of the value created in federal laboratories. The strength of FPTT is measured by the relationships it builds, the knowledge it helps develop and share, and the technology transfer it enables.

KCA
Knowledge Commercialisation Australasia is the peak body representing organisations and individuals associated with knowledge transfer from the public sector. KCA shares and enhances world’s best practice in knowledge commercialisation. Its’ members thereby increase wealth generation and enhance the Innovation System. KCA  members include universities, government research organisations and departments, medical research institutes, rural research and development corporations and TAFEs.  Members from CRCs and industry are also welcome.

KCA has established strategic alliances with national and international organisations such as the Australian Institute for Commercialisation, InnovationXchange Australia, Association of University Technology Managers, ACCT Canada and UNICO to strengthen membership benefits.
